Conditions for the Balloon Foxhunt are excellent, could not be better actually.

Predicted flight for BOM WX Balloon on Saturday morning 28/08/2010. Looks really good. We will hunt this one first.



Then we will launch the HORUS balloon with the repeater payload which also looks great,



Some of us want to do a night hunt so we will go after the BOM balloon again around 22:30 local (1200Z).



Then we can crash at 5CP's shack !!

May launch a camera payload on Sunday also.

Who is taking part? I have 2 seats available in the RDF truck for the HORUS (Ham) balloon hunt and maybe one for the BOM balloon hunts. You can DF the HORUS on 2m or 70cm or receive the telemetry and drive with out any RDF gear. The BOM balloons require RDF. They are on 401MHz WBFM. YOu can DF with a 70cm antenna or I have a spare 401MHZ yagi for loan.


There is a balloon OP tomorow also. We are launching a payload on behalf of Uni Sydney. As usual checl out projecthorus.org for info.
